Hi! My name is Oliver.
I love shooting film.

I have always been fascinated by the tangible, physical dimension of analog photography. Shooting film enables me to touch my work and remain constantly aware of its material authenticity.

Gear

Operating vintage cameras is an inseparable part of the analog experience, and an exciting adventure in its own right. To this day, I don’t own a single digital camera – I take pride in handling classic photographic equipment instead.

All of the cameras in my collection are cherished and taken good care of. They’re not just for display though – I regularly shoot these obscure pieces of outdated technology and love getting to know all their quirks.

Material

Photographic film is a medium with character. Most of my work is shot on Ilford and Kodak material, and although I like to try something new every once in a while, nothing beats handling a film I know well.

As different film stocks not only look, but also behave differently, getting to know your material is critical for good results. It takes time and experience, and that’s what makes film special as a medium.

Processing

All my film is developed and processed with love by a seasoned technician in a local lab. An analog photographer himself, he understands my vision and is passionate about his job.

Although I’m already looking into developing black-and-white at home, I always leave critical work for his experienced hands, and his own patented developer. What’s more, it’s always nice to pay him a visit and talk photography.
